Italienische Musik war im 16. Jahrhundert ein Exportschlager und ein Magnet. Hans Leo Hassler war einer der ersten Deutschen, der nach Venedig pilgerte um die konzertante mehrch\u00f6rige Musik zu studieren und diesseits der Alpen bekannt zu machen. Gastoldis Madrigale wiederum inspirierten Komponisten nachhaltig, insbesondere in England wurden sie zur Mode und pr\u00e4gten sp\u00e4tere Komponisten wie Thomas Morley.
