Zum 400. Todestag des gro\u00dfen englischen Renaissancekomponisten William Byrd singt das Vokalensemble sirventes berlin das grandiose, geradezu \u00fcppige geistliche Werk \u201eThe Great Service\u201c. Vermutlich entstand diese umfangreiche Vertonung eines ganzen anglikanischen Gottesdienstes f\u00fcr die Chapel Royal in London, und zwar vor dem Jahr 1606.
